The planning for the July 27 fundraiser is in full swing. It is going
to be held at the Port City Pub and Cafe from 5-7PM following much the
same format as the St Brigid's Day celebration.
This will be our first fundraiser for the 2008 St Patrick's Day parade.
Along with being a fundraiser, we are going to be celebrating Lughnasa.
Since Lughnasa is usually celebrated with dancing, hopefully, we will be
able to add some Celtic Folk dances to the celebration. I am working on
that now.
At this time I need commitments to bring food. I think it would be
really great if we could make and serve food that is Celtic in origin.
If you have a recipe, that you can make and bring that's great. If you
would like to contribute a Celtic dish, but do not have a recipe, please
let me know and I will forward some recipes to you. If you prefer to
make something more traditional, that would also be fine. Please let
me know as soon as you can, if you will be able to contribute food.
Thanks for all your help.
